OVERVIEW

Clinical imaging workstation software with detector integration, real-time image processing, and DICOM connectivity

A development project combining scheduled examination lookup, detector image acquisition and processing, reporting, and PACS transfer in one workflow, with access control and security designed around the entire process.

SRH’s scope

DICOM Worklist and PACS integration, detector image acquisition and real-time GPU image processing, reporting and export, access control and security features, and installation packages

  • Medical imaging
  • DICOM · PACS
  • Real-time image processing
  • Medical device security

CAPABILITIES

Key capabilities

Scheduled examinations (DICOM Worklist)

Queries Worklist servers using C-FIND with patient ID, name, accession number, and scheduled date filters. Results from multiple servers are merged into an encrypted local cache, preserving existing entries if synchronization fails.

Detector image acquisition

Acquires 16-bit images in single, continuous, fluoroscopy, and sequence modes through a vendor-neutral detector abstraction. Applies offset, gain, and defect corrections and reconnects automatically after a disconnection.

Real-time GPU image processing

Applies image-processing techniques such as frame averaging, noise reduction, multiscale edge enhancement, contrast optimization, and gamma correction on the GPU in real time. A node graph editor configures processing, and presets are stored in encrypted form.

Reporting and export

Generates PDF reports containing treatment information and dose, energy, and interval charts. Images can be exported as DICOM, JPG, TIFF, or BMP, with an option to remove patient information.

PACS transfer

Checks connectivity with C-ECHO and transfers images using C-STORE over mutually authenticated TLS 1.2/1.3. Transfer results are recorded so already-sent images can be skipped during retries.

Access control and security

Provides a four-role permission matrix with read and write controls by settings area, FIDO2 security-key login, and idle-session locking. Databases and image files are encrypted, and deployment uses code-signed installation packages.
